Underwater visual survey in Quebra Canela, Santiago Island

In September we start research surveys in Quebra canela Bay in the capital Praia. Underwater visual assessment surveys of marine biodiversity are part of the project to conduct the first assessment of marine fauna and flora in the bay, and assess the ecosystem services. During the first test dive we trialed line transect survey, and even though the visibility was not the best, the method was found to be successful.
