Last week, together with the OMCV in Tarrafal, we shared moments of marine life captured in photos and videos. We discussed the importance of seagrass, considering that the Angra Bay has the largest seagrass meadow in Santiago, with two species—the only one in Cabo Verde. We also discussed corals and learned about the most famous endemic sun coral (Atlantia caboverdiana), as well as marine monitoring methods. It was a great pleasure to welcome community members, visitors, and, of course, the children from the organization Heroes of the Environment (Tarrafal).
We would like to thank Prof. W. Szymaniak (#unipiagetcv) for sharing his knowledge about seafaring.
